Cayman Kai is a popular family vacation area located adjacent to Rum Point, a 45 minute drive from George Town and Seven Mile Beach. Cayman Kai consists mostly of private villas but there are a couple of condo resorts as well. From 1 bedroom basic cottages to 7 bedroom luxury homes - Cayman Kai has it all.

The Cayman Kai area has beautiful white sand beaches and is situated on the calm protected waters of the North Sound.

This area is appropriate for large families looking for a private home, for families with small children, and even for honeymooners looking for that perfect quiet getaway.

This is a good area for learning to snorkel - especially for children, as the water is shallow and calm. Around the tip of Rum Point and along the north shore offers the best snorkeling for more advanced snorkelers. At Rum Point, there is a watersports shop, as well as a dock where there are daily departures to famous Stingray City, where you can swim with and feed the gentle Stingrays.

There are a couple of casual restaurants and bars (at Rum Point and at Kaibo Yacht Club), and a small grocery store is a 10 minute drive away on the north shore.

A car rental is recommended if you stay in this area, as it is quite spread out. You'll want a car in order to range further afield to other restaurants, a grocery store, George Town, Seven Mile Beach and the island's other attractions.
